The body and the brain work together in ways that we may find it difficult to comprehend. For example, we may tell our hand to reach out and pick up a glass but the fact that it actually does so is beyond amazing. That isn’t even to mention the fact that many of the things we do are involuntary and we don’t even have to think about them, such as our heart beating or the fact that we breathe, even while we are sleeping.
Have you ever heard the expression, it’s like riding a bike? It is meant to describe how riding a bike is something that we learn once and we possess for the rest of our lives. What if something small were changed in the bike, however, would you still be able to ride it has successfully? You might be surprised with the answer.
