We may do puzzles for a wide variety of reasons, but almost everybody does them at some point or another. For many of us, puzzles provide something to do when we are having a boring day, and we may find that we are doing them a little more frequently or even at inappropriate times. On the other hand, puzzles can be part of a psychological evaluation or they may even help to keep our mind sharp.

Many different types of puzzles exist, each of which can benefit the human mind in various ways. At times, they may help to keep your mind sharp, and this has been proven through many scientific studies. In fact, some studies even suggest that individuals who do puzzles early in life may be less likely to develop problems later, such as Alzheimer’s and dementia. Is it true? That has yet to be proven but if you can have a little fun and possibly avoid serious issues, why not try them?

The type of puzzles that are shown in this video are known as brainteasers. It is not part of some type of standardized test and is not meant to check your IQ. On the other hand, they can be a lot of fun and they certainly help to keep your mind sharp.
